The first jazz record was released by the Original Dixieland Jazz Band, according to National Geographic Education, on February 26, 1917. The “Jazz Is” show features jazz music’s progression through the last 100+ years including Dixieland, Big Band, Swing, Bebop, Hard Bop, Modal, Fusion, Funk, etc. Sit back, relax, or stand up and dance.
