By giving your time to WSCA, you make more than one event or program possible. You make it possible for people to find a space they belong, an outlet for their creativity, or just something new. Accessible means something special here. It doesn’t just mean that wheelchairs are able to come into the facility. It doesn’t just mean it is a recovery friendly space. It doesn’t just mean it’s inclusive and visibly, ardently non-discriminatory. It doesn’t just mean it’s low-cost. At WSCA, accessibility is the bridge between the community and the individual. It is a place where an individual can come to express themselves uniquely and creatively, and be embraced by a community who values what they do. You are both an individual and part of a whole.
This type of outlet doesn’t exist anywhere else in the Seacoast. Being part of WSCA is being part of one of the last remaining underground, indie, weird, and special artist collectives in the greater Portsmouth area. You keep art alive for beginners all the way through veteran performers!
When you volunteer at WSCA, you have a voice in the direction of the organization. Its programming and events are influenced by your thoughts, opinions, insights, and personal passions. By giving your time to WSCA, you are enriching your life and the lives of others. You have come to a community where you can see yourself. Now, your role is to help others see themselves through the incredible music, performance, education, and art that WSCA has to offer.
