June 5 – Heather Smith and The Constants With JD and the Stonemasons

Heather Smith & The Constants with JD and the Stonemasons — June 5

Join us on June 5 for an evening of alt-country and Americana with Heather Smith & The Constants.

Heather Smith & The Constants

Blending folk-inspired storytelling with a distinctly modern edge, Heather Smith’s music draws from personal history and lived experience. Her songs reflect her upbringing as the grandchild of Appalachian coal miners who migrated north along the Hillbilly Highway to work in Detroit’s auto factories — stories that shape both her perspective and her songwriting.

A Detroit-born artist, Smith pairs narrative-driven lyrics with a sound that leans into the “alt” side of alt-country, creating music that feels both rooted and contemporary.

She has released two full-length albums, Stronger (2024) and Heather’s Myth (2025), along with the Journey On EP (2025) and several singles. Her work has been featured multiple times on 92.5 FM The River Boston’s Homegrown Music Showcase, and she has built a growing audience, with nearly a quarter of a million streams across platforms.

Backed by The Constants, a dynamic live band, Smith brings these songs to the stage with energy and connection, delivering performances that resonate with audiences from the first note.

JD and the Stonemasons

JD and the Stonemasons is a Celtic/folk trio that specializes in sea shanties, rip-roaring fiddle tunes, and captivating original songs. A favorite at festivals and folk venues across the US, JD and the Stonemasons write songs which capture the whimsy and tragedy of Irish culture, taking inspiration from the living folk tradition of New England. Whether they’re playing an age-old ballad, roaring along with a shanty crowd, or bedazzling audiences with an original fiddle tune, JD and the Stonemasons get audiences involved with all the thrill and energy of an old-school New England barn dance.
