Canoe Dig It? Screening of the film PLUS Q&A with the Director, Samuel Dunning
@ The Button Factory Stage

Canoe Dig It? is a comedic glimpse into the world of Freestyle Canoeing, following some of the country’s top canoeists as they travel to a competition in northern Maine to duke it out for the title of “Top Paddler”. For fans of Christopher Guest’s Best in Show or Spinal Tap, you are in for a treat. Albeit a painfully dry New England-humor, kind of treat. Writer/Director/Star Sam Dunning will be in attendance for a Q&A after the film to answer all your burning questions about freestyle canoeing, making an indie film in New England, and if you left the iron plugged in at home before you left. Sam was born in Maine and made the film as a love letter to his home state and New Englanders in general through the filter of a sports mockumentary. This is his directorial debut following his short horror comedy Rick and Ruby. Sam is also an accomplished actor, best know from roles in CBS’s FBI, Apple TV’s For All Mankind, feature film Tim Travers and the Time Traveler’s Paradox and much more!
