WSCA Stands in Solidarity

A message from WSCA President & Board Chair Jason Boucher

Portsmouth Community Radio, WSCA 106.1 FM is committed to being an equal opportunity organization. We stand in solidarity with protestors from Portsmouth to Minneapolis, New York to Los Angeles, and every city and town in between. We mourn the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and all victims of racial injustice. Black Lives Matter.

We recognize that any statement of solidarity must also be combined with real action. In the coming months, this organization will connect it’s board of trustees, volunteer staff, and DJs to reflect, discuss, and prepare proper steps needed to disrupt and demolish racist biases. We look forward to sharing this important work with the community.

WSCA is committed to listening, learning, and building a better future together. Our minds are open and we’re listening, with particular attentiveness to the Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC) voices in our community.
