Hygiene Kit Donations Sought

When people are forced to abruptly leave their homes because of emergencies, they may not have time to pack the things they use on a daily basis like toothbrushes or soap. But after a few days without these items, they definitely miss them. Your hygiene kits offer a refreshing daily boost for someone when supplies are hard to come by.  The Missions Committee of the Greenland Community Church invites you to contribute to supplying basic needs hygiene kits that will be distributed wherever needed in the US and around the world.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
– One 1-gallon Ziploc bag

– One hand towel measuring 15″x28″ to 16″x32″ (No fingertip, bath, dish, or micro-fiber towels.)

– One washcloth

– One fingernail or toenail clipper (Either one is acceptable. Remove from packaging.)

– One bath-size bar of soap in the original package

– One toothbrush in the original package

– Ten standard-size Band-Aids

All items must fit inside the Ziploc bag. Remove the excess air from the bag and seal it before boxing. Do not add any extra items or toothpaste. A tube of extended expiration date toothpaste will be added to each hygiene kit just before its journey. Special combs have already been purchased and will be added to the bags.

Support the Shipping and Processing Fund: $2.00 per kit (optional)

Donations will be collected through April 28th, 12:30 pm, and we invite anyone who would like to help package the supplies to do so on Sunday April 27, 11:30 to 12 at the Parish House, 44 Post Road, Greenland.

Drop off at the Greenland Community Church on Sunday morning, or at the Parish House, 44 Post Road, on Wednesday or Saturday morning, or put in the bin on the Parish House steps anytime.  Contact Melanie Lynn @ melanielynn459@gmail.com for questions.
