Getting to Tomorrow: Transitioning to a Renewable Energy Future

April 3, 2019 @ 10:00 pm - April 4, 2019 @ 12:30 am

Join The Gundalow Company, in partnership with WSCA 106.1 FM, Portsmouth Community Radio’s The Environmental Hour for a  discussion about the human-side of transitioning from traditional fossil-fuels to a renewable energy future at the Button Factory Stage.
The evening will begin with an conversation with Tom Haines, award-winning journalist, UNH Professor, and author of the excellent new book:
Walking to the Sun – A Journey Through America’s Energy Landscapes
It’s the intimate and often poetic story of Tom’s treks through small town America, meeting the people who are living with our energy infrastructure (old and new).  Tom shares this journey with a quiet but profound humanism not often found in “Climate books”.  This is a climate story for everyone.
Later in the evening, we’ll expand conversation with a local energy expert, discussing how New England in general, and the Seacoast specifically, is (or is not) transitioning to a renewable energy future, and what we can do about it. There will be plenty of time for Q&A, discussions and networking.

Lots of free, onsite parking.  Free popcorn and refreshments will also be available.

There is a small suggested donation to WSCA Radio upon arrival.
