Cold Signal Fires with Spirit Hotel & Almost Machines
The Button Factory Stage
Cold Signal Fires and Spirit Hotel bring an atmospheric, immersive night of indie, ambient, and dream-leaning sounds to The Button Factory Stage on Saturday, January 17.
Cold Signal Fires is an experimental indie band based in the NH Seacoast area. Their music blends haunting melodies with ambient textures, feedback-driven noise, glitchy electronic beats, and indie rock, creating layered, emotionally charged soundscapes that feel both expansive and intimate.
Joining them is Spirit Hotel from Salem, MA. Spirit Hotel cites influences ranging from walls of sound like Phil Spector to shoegaze, psych, post-punk, and dream pop. At turns brooding and warm, they draw listeners in with hypnotic rhythms, lush guitars, and the restrained, confessional vocals of singer-songwriter Leila May Hauck. Their songs are sonic expressions of deep memory and feeling, accented with echoes of Farfisa and fitting seamlessly into today’s shoegaze and psych revival landscape.
What began as a recording project for Hauck with the release of the three-song EP I Was a Knife in 2023 grew into a full live band over the following year with the addition of Dan Jennings (guitar), Tayler Fitzpatrick (bass), and Josiah Webb (drums). By their third live show in March 2025, the band was invited to open for Christian Death, followed by a coveted opening slot for screamo pioneers Portraits of Past at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA that August.
Spirit Hotel recorded their debut LP Rêve this spring at Studio G Brooklyn with Jett Berner (Psychic TV, Shilpa Ray, Cult of Youth). The single Perfume was released on December 4 and immediately received airplay on several radio stations, including NYC’s WFMU Rock’n’Soul Radio and Hermosa MX’s Zoom 95.5 Fuzz Radio. Rêve will be released on vinyl in early 2026 via Little Cloud Records.
Tickets are $10 HERE and $15 at the door.
