WSCA 106.1 FM is home to the most diverse programming in the entire state of New Hampshire and is listener-supported. We depend on the contributions of donors and volunteers like you.
Portsmouth Community Radio is a mixed format radio station which welcomes anyone interested in furthering our mission. WSCA-LP is quickly becoming an integral part of the seacoast community as a resource to the non-profit arts and cultural scene. The dedicated volunteer team has firmly established WSCA as New Hampshire’s only mixed format LPFM radio station, which is dedicated to serving the greater seacoast community.
Lorna Simes is the operator of Red & Shorty’s house concert series in Dover, NH and host of Music City Roots, a syndicated live performance show heard here on 106.1FM, Sundays from noon-2pm. You can also catch Lorna’s own brand of musical lunacy by tuning into her locally produced show, Global Heartbeat, heard here on WSCA every Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm. Lorna is also a performer and a long time supporter of community radio.
Jason Brown is the host of WSCA radio show The Kitchen Sink, Wednesdays 8-10pm. A rock & roll party that has been a staple of Portsmouth Community Radio since our humble beginnings. Jason is a lifelong Seacoast resident and brings a decade of in-studio experience to bare on programming decisions at 106.1FM.
Mark Lefebvre is a radio veteran and host of Scurvy Dog Radio, heard Saturdays from 4-6pm. Mark (and his “co-host, the lovely Miss Vivian”) have been introducing listeners to new artists and local bands for over five years on WSCA. His love of music and radio has brought him to hundreds of live performances and he also fills the roll as our official station photographer for 3S Artspace and the Boston Calling Festival.
Craig Mosher is a veteran radio jock and host of The Graveyard Shift, Saturday nights from 10-midnight. With a focus on hip-hop, Craig introduces listeners to new and local artists, hosts live in-studio performances and interviews influencers in the hip-hop scene across New England and beyond.
Daina Sanders has been making listeners laugh & dance every Sunday night on WSCA since 2013. Daina is the producer of Good Times, Sundays at 9pm where she uses her endless creativity to entertain listeners with new material from female artists & stand-up comics, local legends & old favorites as well as the adventures of Brady Muffins and other celebrity felines!
WSCA and the entire seacoast community are well served by these volunteers who have graciously agreed to help Portsmouth Community Radio grow into our future as a premiere arts organization. Be sure to give them a well deserved pat on the back! 👍
